Quick answer

Install the Teleport module from the Takaro dashboard, configure the allowed number of teleport points per player, and set cooldown timers. Players can then create and use teleport points in-game.

What you’ll need

  • A Takaro account (free tier works)
  • At least one game server connected to Takaro
  • A few minutes

Step 1: Install the Teleport module

  1. Open your Takaro dashboard
  2. Navigate to Modules in the sidebar
  3. Search for “Teleport” or browse the Community Management category
  4. Click Install on the Teleport module

The module installs instantly. No server restart required.

Step 2: Configure teleport settings

After installing, click on the module to open its settings. You can configure:

  • Max teleport points per player: How many saved locations each player gets
  • Cooldown time: Minimum time between teleports (prevents abuse)
  • Cost: If you’re using the economy module, you can charge players for teleports

Step 3: Set up permissions

By default, all players can use teleports. If you want to restrict access:

  1. Go to Roles in your Takaro dashboard
  2. Create or edit a role
  3. Add the teleport permission to that role
  4. Assign the role to specific players or groups

How players use it

Once the module is active, players can use these commands in-game:

  • /sethome [name] to save a teleport point
  • /home [name] to teleport to a saved point
  • /delhome [name] to delete a saved point
  • /listhomes to see all saved points

Works across games

The Teleport module adapts to each game. The commands stay the same whether your players are on Rust, 7 Days to Die, or Minecraft. Player teleport data is tracked per-server, so a Rust player’s teleport points won’t conflict with their 7D2D points.

Troubleshooting

Teleports not working? Check that the module is installed and enabled for the correct game server. Some games require specific server permissions.

Cooldown too long? Edit the module settings and reduce the cooldown timer. Changes apply immediately.

Need more features? Browse the module marketplace for advanced teleport modules with features like warp zones, admin teleports, and cross-server teleportation.

What’s next

Now that teleports are set up, consider adding the Economy module to charge players for teleports, or set up Discord notifications so you get a ping when players teleport. The teleport module is included on every plan, including the free tier. Join the Discord if you run into issues.
